CAA Atlantic pilots mobile tire change service in HRM

April 7, 2020 – Halifax, N.S. – CAA Members in the Halifax Regional Municipality can now book online to have their tires changed in their driveway or workplace by CAA’s own trusted tire technicians.

During the winter to spring transition, the service will be available seven days per week, working with the schedules of Members and saving them having to lug tires to and from their auto shop.

“Anything we can do to make our Members’ lives a little bit easier, we like to do,” said Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Gary Howard. “This is a perfect complement to our existing services.”

How it works: Members visit the CAA Atlantic website, make an appointment, and have their car and tires ready for the scheduled appointment. The cost is $49.99 + HST. A second vehicle at the same household can be added for $40 + HST.

For the safety of our drivers and our Members, it’s imperative that strict physical distancing guidelines are followed. For instance, there won’t be any direct contact between the Member and the driver. We ask for appointments to be cancelled if the Member is exhibiting any symptoms related to COVID-19.

This is starting as a pilot project in the HRM, and with success, could expand to more locations.
