I am originally from Sydney, Cape Breton, and moved to Halifax at a young age. I began working as a travel agent at the age of 20 and have now been with CAA Atlantic for 38 years. Travel has always been a passion of mine, and I particularly love adventure travel that includes kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming.
I recently returned from an expedition cruise to the Galápagos Islands, where I saw 11 of the Big 15. It was truly an adventure of a lifetime, allowing me to experience some of the most remote and beautiful places in the world.
The vast landscapes of New Zealand’s North and South Islands have made it one of my all-time favorite destinations. I have experienced it both by land and, more recently, by cruising around the country. Machu Picchu is an incredibly spiritual and magical place that I hold close to my heart. Travelling to South Africa and seeing close-up views of wildlife, including the Big Five, which are the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and African buffalo, was an experience like no other.
I have also had the pleasure of experiencing eight river cruises, including the Moselle and the Rhine, the Rhône, Tulip Time, the Seine, and the Danube. Each river was unique and offered its own special charm.
When I am not travelling, I enjoy gardening.
