Ordering

  • Customers select the (1) location, (2) currency and (3) amount.
  • Orders are rounded up to the nearest denomination of paper money, and no coins are provided.
  • Special requests can be made at the end of the process. ICE will make every effort to accommodate any special requests, but it cannot guarantee it can fulfill any special request.
  • ICE cannot provide every currency that may exist and be used in every country. The availability of certain currencies is subject to market restrictions and availability and can change without notice before or during the process.
  • ICE processes the order to be sent to the pick-up location two days before.
  • If an order is delayed or cannot be fulfilled, the ICE Call Centre will contact the customer by phone or email to advise of the situation and attempt to resolve any concerns to complete the order or discuss an alternate solution.
  • All sales are final once fulfilled, meaning there will be no refunds or exchanges once the member receives the currency requested in the order.
  • Once ordered, a confirmation email will be sent to the client.

Shipment & Delivery

  • ICE will send orders twice a week to Halifax.  However, ICE reserves the right to change the schedule to accommodate demand fluctuations.
  • We recommend that members open their envelopes at another location than at CAA to speed up the process, eliminate FX-related issues by CAA employees and secure the process. ICE is responsible for any problems with the content; in such a case, a 1-800 number is on the front of the envelope and the receipt.
  • The confirmation email will contain a confirmation order number, which the member/travel client must provide to collect their currency.
  • Sealed order envelopes have a sticker on the back with the order number, customer name, location, currency and amount, and CAD amount.
  • CAA validates the customer's identity and transaction number and gives the envelope.
  • If a member does not come to pick up their order three days after the pick-up date, it's automatically considered a no show. ICE will remind the customers of the late pick-up status.
