There is no way you will leave Prince Edward Island hungry. Our fresh, local ingredients from the land and sea can be enjoyed all across the Island. For an unforgettable food experience, check out Chef Michael Smith’s Feast at the Inn at Bay Fortune, a Culinary Bootcamp at the Culinary Institute of Canada or a class at Table Culinary Studio. Island Culture

Culture is the heartbeat of our Island. We are deeply proud of our expanding diversity and invite visitors to share our traditions - old and new. Check out Highland Storm: a show of Celtic music, songs and dance in Summerside for a taste of Scottish traditions. Get a glimpse of the historical legacy and practices of the Mi’kmaq at the Panmure Island or Lennox Island Pow Wows. Celebrate the lively Acadian culture at Village Musical Acadien in Abram-Village. Enjoy live music at the new Trailside Music Hall, the summer-long Indian River Music Festival, or one of our countless ceilidhs and summer concert series. And of course Anne, the red-headed fictional character who has influenced the lives of so many.

Coastal Drives

Follow the coast.  Fill up your tank, and charge your camera. Our Island is waiting for you to tour along one of our coastal drives. You will discover farmlands, cities, breathtaking views and charming small towns. In the North Cape Coastal Drive you will find houses made of bottles, a potato museum, hear Acadian music, experience Mi’kmaq culture, and see a wind turbine farm. The Central Coastal Drive takes you through fishing villages, past Cavendish Beach, stunning views of the Confederation Bridge, the quaint village of Victoria-by-the-Sea and into Charlottetown. Points East Coastal Drive is all about beaches; over 50 in fact, all part of the eastern end of the Island. Make sure to stop at Greenwich, PEI National Park and walk the trail to the shore (includes a floating boardwalk) or go back in time with a visit to Orwell Corner. PEI may be small, but there is so much to see and experience here. Be sure to take your time, and plan to stop and explore often. You will find hidden gems all along the way. Our coastal drives are marked with colourful signs to help you navigate your way.

Golf P.E.I.

With over 400 fairways Prince Edward Island is a golf heaven! Challenge yourself with 18 holes or do an easy nine; whatever your preference, you can find it here. Not only are the greens beautiful, but wait until you see the views! Some of our courses look over the ocean, or run alongside rivers and trails. Our size is such an advantage when it comes to golf, because it makes it possible to play more than one of our world-class courses in a day! The Links at Crowbush Cove, Green Gables, Mill River, Countryview, Eagles Glenn and Fox Meadow, just to name a few. Along with more than two dozen others, they’re part of what makes PEI the favourite of so many North American golfers.
